The big O-N-E!!!!

Saturday was Kingston's first birthday. Nate's parents and my mom and sister came in to visit for the big event. The theme of our party was Elmo (Kinston's favorite!) and we had a blast making cupcakes, sugar cookies and gift bags with that theme. A friend of mine decorated Kingston's cakes (both the guest cake and his smash cake) with an adorable Elmo as well. Kingston was so excited about the cake icing, I had to help him dig into the actual cake - which he enjoyed(shocker I know). Thanks to those of you who prayed for us to feel better - I had a headache and was still kind of achey while prepping for the party but we avoided the stomach flu - which was a major blessing! Kingston got lots of cute presents - a push dump truck (which converts to a ride on), some little people toys, a Radio Flyer wagon, a tee ball toy (which makes lots of noise - thank you Aunt Carrie) and a ball pit from Nate and I. We have another party this weekend for all of our friends/family in Kansas City which we are looking forward to as well. We feel so blessed to have such a sweet son, and are son thankful for the opportunity to be his parents. We thank God every day for him, and pray for his salvation and that God would use him and great and mighty ways from a young age. His name means "the kings inheritance" and we want him to fully experience and know the inheritance he has in our King - Christ Jesus! Enjoy this pics and we will update after Kingston's party this weekend as well!

How fun! Silas is sitting here with me saying "baby" and pointing at Kingston. I think they'd be great friends! We love you guys!
