I have been anxiously awaiting the day when we could break out the baby pool in the backyard and officially kick off our summer of fun! Today that day finally arrived. I set up the pool and filled it yesterday, so it was the perfect temperature today. The sun was out and there was no wind today - the perfect day for Kingston's first pool experience! The time spent in preparation for pool fun is actually greater than the amount of time spent in the pool - the swim diaper, the sunscreen, getting all the toys ready - none the less it was absolutely worth it! He loved the little pool (unlike the sunscreen and sunglasses) and even warmed up to the floatie we got for him. The swim trunks were cute, but I think we are going to have to opt for a full body suit with sun protection - our baby is so white (note - in the pictures he is hatless and in the sun - this did NOT continue past the photo opp!).
