Hello friends! I can't believe it is already January 7th - 2011 is already flying by! We had a great time this Christmas. For the first year EVER we were in Kansas City with all of Nate's family - no late night driving, missing out on family events etc. - we are so blessed that one of our long time prayer requests has been filled! We attended our first ever Plaza Heights Christmas Eve service and then headed over the Nate's cousins house for food, family and some karaoke fun(for the kids...not the adults!). We had a wonderful time - even though we were missing some family members - and headed to Sue's sister's house the next day. Kingston is rather taken with his cousin Ellie, and they spent the afternoon running in circles after each other. The only low point was for the next week we all battled a viscous stomach bug! Due to the stomach bug we missed out on some much anticipated time with the Drury family, but hope that make that up soon. The goal for Christmas 2011 - no stomach bug!
While I'm not huge on making New Year's resolutions, I did feel the need to provide some structured goals for myself and figured this was a good time to do some evaluations and make changes in my life. So one of my goals for 2011 (stolen from Amber Burger and my hubby might add) is to read at least one book a month! I do enjoy reading but don't make enough time for it - look for reviews coming in the months ahead!
