June

June started with VBS and then youthcamp for Nate and the Mt. Vernon youth - I did not brave the 15 hour drive with my car loathing baby - which was good because the bus broke down TWICE on the way home - I think it was the longest return from camp in history. Praise God that all students and leaders arrived home safely (and that Nate stayed sane!). I ventured to KC to catch up with friends and family, and to enjoy some time with Nate's parents.

We were then home for 4 days before leaving for our yearly family vacation at Lake of the Ozarks. This is one of my all time FAVORITE things in life - I look forward to it so much each year! This year was extra exciting because it was Kingston's first time there AND we got to spend the whole week with Danny, Mallory and Maddie Dyer. The babies had tons of fun playing together, and the mommies had tons of fun getting babysitting relief from the grandparents. Much to Welby's dismay, Kingston was NOT allowed to jet ski this year - maybe next year I will allow him to sit on it :) It should be noted that the week before leaving for the lake the air conditioners in both cars AND our house went out - this was also the week it was 110 degrees in Missouri - it was TERRIBLE! One of the cars was a (relatively) cheap fix, but the other two dipped significantly into our emergency fund (again - Dave Ramsey - thanks for the great idea- no credit cards - whoo hoo!). So we relaxed at the lake after a very stressful week. The pics from this week are on another camera- I will try to post them soon.

We were home for 5 days and Nate headed to Houston (where he will be until friday) with "the band" to lead worship for Houston project. They always have a great time, and I wish I was there (the air conditioning expenses drained my plane ticket money...oh well...next year!). So I am in KC again visiting friends and spending the week with Nate's parents - they are so gracious to host me whenever I ask (note: the grandbaby I am SURE has nothing to do with this!) So while I have loved catching up with friends and family this last month I am ready to be home and in a consistant routine - I miss being with Nate!
