Today holds a special sweetness for me. One year ago on July 6th, I saw two pink lines on a home pregnancy test. After multiple miscarriages I had little hope that those two lines held promise for a baby that we would hold in our arms and know as our own. And yet, because God is faithful, gracious and loving...here she is. And she is wonderful. A delight. So many of the things we prayed for (still not a sleeper though...maybe my children are just destined not to like sleep)! She is also almost 4 months old - how the time flies! I love watching her grow and change - some things have gotten easier as she has left the newborn stage behind, although new challenges are always present! I love that she is smiley, sweet, laughs easily (especially at Kingston), loves to snuggle and talks incessantly. What this girl will lack in stature, I believe she will make up for in voice - and with Kingston as a big brother, this may be required for her survival! Here are some snapshots of our sweet Ruby Sue:
She likes the stroller - especially since she can now grab her toys and bring them to her mouth!
This happened twice in one day! We need to move up to size 2 diapers - I just have a few of the size 1-2 I am determined to use up!
Kingston seems to think the mobile is also for him - he "teaches" her to dance while they listen to the music.
She likes the Baby Einstien jumper - but isn't big enough to really jump and enjoy it yet - I think she appreciates the new perspective of being up higher.
Cereal is yummy! She has been enjoying one bowl a day of runny cereal - and loves it! She was acting hungry so I started her about 9 days before turning 4 months... and she was instantly a pro! She opens her mouth, swallows well - and still tries to get ahold of my food or cup when I am eating - this girl is going to love food I believe!
Our first swimming experience. I'm pretty sure Ruby was wondering why I put her in a large (and cold) bathtub! I also couldn't get a decent pic of her - she was too interested in eating the flowers on her swimsuit!
Riding in a "big" stroller! She loves kicking those feet!
Fourth of July in the Bumbo - keeping an eye on us as we eat dinner!
Sweet siblings - they love each other!
We are so blessed and thankful for these two sweeties in our lives!
