Kingson 3.5

There are so many things I have been meaning to write about(p.s. I wish I could caption the photos for you - but they show up in my preview as a bunch of computer mumbo jumbo - so just enjoy!). I meant to blog about Kingston and some things I wanted to remember before Ruby was born - but we were too busy prepping for a new baby! Kingston at age 3 and a half is so much fun - and also quite exhausting! He is funny, fun loving, smart, sweet and rambunctious! He is also a fantastic big brother. He has handled the changes and challenges of big brotherhood quite well! Below are some random things I know I will forget some day if I don't write them down - so here are the thing about Kingston at 3.5 that I don't want to forget:

-His incredible memory. He has books, verses and entire episodes of Thomas memorized (which he reenacts with the trains we have at home).
- He is compassionate. He tries to soothe Ruby, kisses her and impulsively tells her he loves her.
- He tells me (and grandma) we are his best friends.
- He likes to cook, paint, draw with sidewalk chalk, play outside, play with trains and cars (mostly from the Cars movie)
- He can tell you how to get to our house, where his grandparents live, etc - it amazes me when we drive by something and he remembers it from months ago.
- He has stopped taking a nap.
- He remembers that we call adults Miss or Mr. - so much so that he calls my sister and Aunt Cathy by Miss instead of Aunt!
- He has a sense of humor and teases us - and likes to be teased.
-He can still shoot baskets with more accuracy than I can.
- He likes to be a helper.
-He - like most 3 year old boys - has selective hearing :)
- He is warming up to family he hasn't seen in a long time - I love this!
- He doesn't let older kids - or younger boss him around - he stands up for himself and feels comfortable telling others no.

My dear Kingston there are so many other things about you that I love - your hugs, energy, and the way you love me! You are so precious and I love being your Mommy!
