Staying in Touch

As every year passes, I notice that we see more of our friends less frequently. Life often gets in the way of frequent weekend visits, late night phone conversations and endless texting. This often happens in the form of adding children to our households! While I enjoy keeping up with friends via blogs and facebook, I LOVE getting Christmas cards each year. Especially photo Christmas cards! It allows me to have a physical reminder of the friends that are so dear to us, or who have had an impact on our lives - a reminder that goes on our fridge for us to see each day! I usually keep the old photo cards in a box (someday to be place in an album) so that we can look back years from now and laugh at how we thought our coordinating family outfits were so cool!

I must confess that while I may think about making our own family cards well before the holiday season, it is usually only a few days before Christmas (once we have received so many of the cards I love!) that I begin work on OUR cards! This year, however, I am ahead of my game! A friend referred me to Shutterfly and their new assortment of holiday cards - which I love!
