My Own Biggest Loser

I recently had drastic (and lasting results) losing weight, changing my lifestyle and gaining energy - and so many people have asked me about it, that I decided I would write a little explanation of what I did, and how it works! Why: I have had trouble returning to my pre-baby weight since Kingston was born, partly due to pregnancy issues, and partly due to some bad habits (coke, fast food, lattes, diet foods that promise weight loss but really just leave you hungry). How does it work?: The program begins with one of two systems - either a 9 day or a 30 day cleanse - I will give some info on each below.

9 Day: This is the cleanse I did this time. It consists of two cleanse days (you drink a cleanse drink and eat some nuts/Isagenix snacks that are nutritionally balanced) then five days of two shakes and a meal, then another two cleanse days. The hardest part was the caffiene withdrawl the first day - after I made it through day one I felt amazing! Right before my second set of cleanse days our family came down with Influenza A so I postponed them for a week while I recovered. I finished my last two days and ended up losing NINE pounds and TWO inches off my waist. My goal was to lose 12 pounds and I believe that would have happened had I not taken the week long break - but I did what was best for my body. The average weight loss is 7-10 pounds for a 9 day cleanse.

The 30 day: The big difference between this program and the 9 day, is it really allows you to make a complete lifestyle change. In hindsight, I wish this is the option I would have chosen. I have still lost weight since finishing the cleanse, but I think I would have better results if I were still using the shakes. The 30 day consists of 4 cleanse days in the 30 day period, with the rest of the days having you drink 2 shakes and one meal. It is Nate and I's goal to complete a 30 day together!
