Chistmas in February

Last weekend Kingston and I headed up to Illinois for a (very late) Christmas celebration with my Mom and sister. Large amounts of snow prevented us from getting together at the beginning of January as planned, so we were more than ready to see each other! My mom and her husband were in the process of finishing a remodeling project and moving, so we enjoyed seeing their new home as it is (almost) done, and Kingston loved the lack of furniture so he could run everywhere! We also got to visit my home church where I delighted in seeing so many people that I have loved growing up - and who have loved and prayed for me so faithfully! They are amazing people and have made such an impact on my life - it was so sweet to share Kingston with them for a day! The big news of the weekend was my best friend Sarah's engagement! I am so excited for her and her new fiance Justin as they plan to start their life together in the fall - I felt extra blessed by the timing of our trip in that I was able to spend an evening with them, and see her beautiful ring! Here are some pictures of our time in Illinois:

He loves his Grammie

Aunt Carrie taught him about his belly button
Which is apparently hilarious (note: he now likes to look for everyone's belly button - in public. Thank you, Aunt Carrie.)
Aunt Carrie and Kingston
The touch lamps brought him such great joy - he would touch it and laugh hysterically!
We had such a great time and can't wait to go back!
